A Room in Austin, 2000 (a la carte)
One of the first Okkervil River shows ever recorded showcases the band playing acoustically, picked up by one room mic in a tiny club in Austin. Recorded shortly after Jonathan Meiburg joined the band and partway through the recording of Don’t Fall in Love with Everyone You See. Enriched by violin, upright bass, national guitar, and accordion, the band plays a crop of extreme rarities, early versions, and unlikely covers for a tiny audience of mostly friends. Liner notes include the first photographs taken of the band along with a personal essay by Will about the formation and early days of Okkervil River.
